No immediate changes are required at this time. Registrants may continue to practise in accordance with the Social Workers Act, BCCSW Bylaws, and the BCCSW Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
All registrants are expected to ensure that any representation of their services, including advertising, public communications, websites, and documentation, is accurate, not misleading, and consistent with their scope of practice, competence, and regulatory obligations.
If any updates are required as a result of the implementation of the title protection provisions under the Health Professions and Occupations Act (HPOA), BCCSW will provide clear guidance and sufficient advance notice to support registrants in making any necessary changes.
