You must complete at least 3 hours in each area, developing specific goals and engaging in intentional learning activities that are relevant to your area of practice. Hours from a learning activity used in one of the required areas, or for the remaining 31 hours of learning, cannot then count towards another area; for example, if you took a 2-hour Indigenous ethics webinar, these hours cannot be used for both the ethics requirement and the Indigenous-specific requirement. Please keep in mind that learning activities must contribute to new learning related to your social work practice, and remember that solely working with specific clients, such as Indigenous people, does not count as a learning activity/hours towards your CPD. And yes, you can complete more than 3 hours in each area, but the minimum amount of hours for each required learning is 3 hours.
