Yes, in “Step 2” for your statement of learning you will answer questions and declarations related to the 7 standards for continuing professional develoment, as outlined in the BCCSW Bylaws. The 7 CPD Standards are as follows:
Standard 1: Plan continuing professional development activities that will enhance the quality of practice and delivery of services.
Standard 2: Undertake continuing professional development activities that enhance social work ethical conduct, cultural safety, cultural humility and anti-discriminatory practice, and Indigenous-specific learning.
Standard 3: Actively seek and participate in a range of continuing professional development activities that maintain and advance professionals skills and knowledge within current or future scopes of practice.
Standard 4: Seek to ensure that continuing professional development activities promote positive outcomes for recipients.
Standard 5: Accurately maintain an up-to-date record of continuing professional development activities as part of ongoing professional development.
Standard 6: Accurately report completion of continuing professional development activities as part of ongoing professional development.
Standard 7: Upon request provide the college with Documentation as part of any auditing and review process.
